Winter is not my favorite season, I can honestly admit it. There is a reason I moved to California straight out of college back in the 1980's. Roxie Level Two Paper Set

Now this is my favorite. I was in my 20's in the 1980's and it was one of the best times of my life. I moved to Los Angeles (by myself) and started my life out in my favorite city. When I saw this paper set I was just reminded of that time. I've already made three layouts with this paper and I'm truly in love. If you have to have this paper too, you can get it RIGHT HERE.

Typeset Level Two paper set

I'd like to share some of the papers in the brand new fall/winter catalog this week. First up is Typeset paper. This would be just perfect for your back to school pictures. Remember that all of our papers are now $9.95 and are just right for those of you who want to use, not collect scrapbooking supplies. You can buy this set RIGHT HERE.

Make and Take #2 for the virtual open house

The second make and take tonight that we're doing on the virtual open house on Scrapping with Heart is this cute card using the Hooray Bouquet set, it's awesome! I also used the Wings paper which is no longer available from Close to my Heart but I have a few packs to sell out of my own stock if you HAVE to have it.

Cut your vineyard berry paper 4 1/2 by 4 1/2. I just love this size, can't you tell? Distress with vineyard berry ink and then cut a piece of juniper cardstock 4 1/4 by 4 1/4. Dry emboss lines in it with your dry embossing tool and your trimmer and sand them to make the white core show. Glue to vineyard berry cardstock.

Excuse the blurry pictures coming up. Cut patterned paper 2 inches by 4 1/2 and glue across the bottom after you distress it. Cut a piece of black cardstock 1 1/2 by 4 1/2 and glue on the pattern paper.

Cut a piece of colonial white cardstock 2 by 3 inches and distress. Cut a piece of vineyard berry 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 and distress. Attach the white to the vineyard berry cardstock. Stamp "you make me smile" on lower right of card and attach piece to right side of card as shown.

Stamp some of the cool flowers from this stamp set on colonial white paper using juniper and vineyard berry ink. Feel free to roll the edges of the juniper pieces in the vineyard berry ink to make it pop.

Cut them out and layer, distressing as needed.

Add completed piece to card as shown. Stamp another smaller flower on the upper right of the colonial white piece, add brad in the center. "Fluff" up the center of the flower so that it's 3 - d (everything these days is 3-d, isn't it)? Attach the card to a piece of colonial white cardstock that you've cut 9 by 4 1/2 and folded and you're done!!

Make and Take #1 for the virtual open house

This is the first make and take/contest for the virtual open house taking place right now on MY FACEBOOK PAGE. Here's my card, make one using the same pattern (papers and embellishments may be different than mine) and send your photo to me at caldreamin05@comcast.net or upload right into your facebook post on my Scrapping with Heart facebook page. All entries will earn a ticket to win the goodie box and one will win a stamp set from me!!!

To make this card you will need Fanfare paper and the stamp set, Key Moments.

Cut your white cardstock 4 1/2 by 9 inches, fold in half for card base, distress with pacifica ink. Cut blue pattern paper 4 1/4 by 4 1/4, distress and attach to the center of the white cardstock.

Cut piece of Pacifica cardstock 3 3/4 by 3 3/4, distress and attach to center of the card. Cut white cardstock 3 1/2 by 3 1/2, distress and attach to center of Pacific cardstock. Stamp sentiment on lower left of white cardstock using Pacifica ink.

Stamp pocket watch outline in cranberry ink, clock face in pacifica ink. Cut out.

Stamp hands of the watch in cranberry ink and poke a hole in center of watch, add blue brad and distress outside with pacifica ink.

Attach watch to the card in a tilted manner just left of center of the card. Attach waxy flax to buttons and use glue dots to attach accenting with another blue brad.

Tie a knot in a ribbon and glue down to top of the watch and you're done. Now, go make your own card using this basic pattern and post them or send to my email at caldreamin05@comcast.net.
