A friend is....card

Here's another card using the amazing January Stamp of the Month, Find Your Style. I love the way Close to my Heart put designs with words inside of the images on this set. For this card you need to cut a black cardstock base 5 1/2 by 4 1/2 inches. I'm using the Wings set again, that's the special paper that will get you some super reduced stamp prices this month. See PRODUCTS to find out how. Cut three strips of the green checked paper 4 inches by 1 1/2 inches. Distress all with black ink. Glue them as shown to the card front.

I used vineyard berry, black, twilight and sweet leaf ink on this card. You can take the the various words on the stamp set and stamp them on a piece of colonial white cardstock cut 4 1/2 inches by 3 1/4 inches. Don't be afraid to let them overlap.

Here's approximately what it will look like when you are finished but remember, when random stamping the results are always unique. Distress the edges with black ink.

Glue this piece down to the center of the card. I used Tombow adhesive.

Stamp the shoe image in black on some spare colonial white cardstock. Cut it out and glue it on the lower left of the card. Now cut a piece of colonial white cardstock 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches, fold in half and glue the card front to it. ALWAYS ATTACH CARD FRONT TO CARD BASE WHEN YOU ARE GOING TO GLITTER, that way you don't have to worry about trying to glue a possibly wet or messy card front to the card base.

Stamp the saying from the stamp set in black on a piece of colonial white cardstock cut 3 inches by 1 3/4 inches. Cut a mat out of the black polka dot patterned paper 3 1/4 by 2 inches and glue the saying on it. Put the piece on the upper right of your card as shown.

Apply glue to the entire shoe. Add prisma glitter and let dry.

When the glue is dry, thunk the back of your card with your finger to get all the glitter off the unglued parts. Add three of our new green sparkles on the upper right of the saying. Enjoy!

Express Yourself

I just love stamp sets that encourage people and this is another one. We all need to express ourselves once in awhile, don't we? To make this card, cut your cardstock color of choice 5 1/2 by 4 inches. I distressed and dry embossed lines horizontally on my card and then sanded them. That's up to you. The strip on the right hand side is cardstock, cut 5 1/2 by 1/4 inch. The pattern paper strip to the left of it is cut 5 1/2 by 1 inches. Glue those down to your card as shown after distressing. The Express Yourself saying is stamped on a cardstock block cut 1 3/4 by 1 3/4 inch. The vineyard berry paper it's laying on is cut 2 1/4 by 1 inch and the colonial white cardstock it's laying on is cut 3 by 1 1/2 inch. Glue down the largest white paper first about a 1/2 inch down from the top with the right hand side flush to the long patterned strip. Put the vineyard berry paper flush with the strip too right in the center of the cardstock. Stamp your saying on your smallest white paper and glue that down on the vineyard berry cardstock flush with the skinniest strip of paper. Tie a bow and glue that down as shown. Stamp a flower and add a brad, cut out and use a glue dot to attach to ribbon. Add two black brads to the lower left of card. Attach the entire card to an 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 piece of cardstock that you've folded in half. Easy!! Oh, you're wondering about the pink splotches?
