Use those buttons!

In my current pursuit of using up my buttons (and I have a lot!) I have come up with another card that uses them.  If you notice the card below this one you can see that they are the same pattern, just a different stamp set and I changed up the decoration behind the angel.  This card uses the Artiste cartridge to make that fancy flower around the angel.  I honestly don't know why I took so long to buy a Cricut machine, my cards can be so much fancier!

Now I'm lucky enough to have to use a lot of buttons because this card is now in my Christmas card workshop so at least 60 buttons will now be used out of my collection but even if you just make one card for yourself, each time you do you are using up your materials instead of just collecting them and that's good!!!

If you purchase on my website this month you will be entered into a drawing to win 25 Christmas cards (even this one) that I will make for you!  Just make sure to hit the JOIN button on my website to be entered in the drawing.

If you want to make a bunch of these Christmas cards yourself, book your Christmas card workshop with me now.  My dates are filling up fast so don't delay.  Call me, Barbra, at (989) 906-6420.

Use those buttons!

To continue our "use it up" series, this week I'm working on making cards to use my buttons. This time I used Avonlea paper, the Snowflakes and Perfect Fit - Frames stamp sets. Three buttons complete the look! Don't forget that I'm having a drawing for 25 free handmade Christmas cards! Everyone who orders from my website will be entered into the drawing.

Use those brads!

In our ongoing efforts to use our brad stash, here's another card. I had a bunch of clover meadow brads and that color has been retired for awhile so I needed to invent a card that would use a few of them at a time. This tag was cut out on the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and I just loved the little diamond shapes it cut out. The red ruffled strip and the circles were also cut out on the Cricut. What I did I do without my Cricut before???? Now go find a way to use some brads today.

Use those brads!

Awhile back I bought some very pretty gem-like brads from Stampin' Up and I've used quite a few of them but have some left so I wanted to make a card that just uses one brad per card. This one is very simple, especially if you own the Artiste Cricut cartridge. The background is just three strips of paper and then I layered a decorative see through ornament die cut over an ornament cut with the pretty Pear and Partridge paper. A simple Christmas saying pops up over the center and add the brad and you're done! How will you use some of your brads today?

Use those brads!

So yesterday I used my glitter brads on a card, here's the matching card, using Avonlea paper, that is using up my pewter brads. You can use the same pattern but have an entirely different look by just changing paper, stamp set and embellishments. You truly do not have to be creative to make cards (or layouts). The person I copy from the most is myself, just taking cards I've already made and switching them up. You can do the same! Now get out those brads and use them!

Use those brads!

Good morning everyone! I plan on starting a new series here where I choose a different product each week and use it up! Yep, that's right, it's time to actually use all the products we accumulate!

First up will be brads. I have two mostly full brad organizers and it's time to move those brads out to real artwork. Here's the first bunch. I prepared a card kit using some super big shimmer design brads that I had lying around. Here's the link to see what they look like.

Now I'm lucky in that I get to make up card kits for my customers to use but you can get rid of your brads by choosing to use them on Christmas cards. If you're like me, you need about 50-100 Christmas cards to send out so why not make many of the same card and get rid of those brads. Here's the card I made, I will have a new brad-using example tomorrow.
