Heartfelt Wishes Card

If you've been following my blog, you know that this month I'm going to feature different products from the Close to my Heart catalog.  I'm going to concentrate on the products that people don't normally notice.   Here's the first one, our non-stick micro-tip scissors.  They are new, they don't stick to anything, which means when you are cutting through adhesive you won't have any problems with your scissors gumming up.  This picture below shows the scissors I was using today, I cut through adhesive with both and if you double click on the photo you can see where the purple regular micro-tip scissors have adhesive on them but the new non-stick scissors don't.  You have to get these so you never have to worry about cleaning your scissors again!

So I used the new scissors on this card.  The For Always paper pack is amazing, love it!  Use it to make this card.  Cut the slate cardstock 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 inches.  Cut the ruby cardstock 5 3/8 by 4 1/8 inches.  Cut the black cardstock 5 1/4 by 4 inches.  If you have a Cuddlebug, run it through with the template of your choice to add some texture.   If you don't, skip that part.  Cut ruby cardstock 4 by 2 1/4 inches.  Cut pattern paper 4 by 2 inches.  Distress all with black ink.  Glue the black to the ruby to the slate large rectangles.  Glue the pattern paper to the ruby cardstock strip and attach to card about an inch from bottom.  Use ribbon of your choice across the top of the ruby cardstock and tie a bow.

To decorate I used an old petite perks stamp set with a bee on it along with the Card Chatter- Sympathy set.  On your Cricut, using the Art Philosophy cartridge, cut the "circle 3" ruffled circle out at 2 1/4 inches with white daisy cardstock.  Cut the same circle at 2 inches out of ruby cardstock.  Using a 1 1/4 inch circle punch, cut out a circle from white daisy cardstock.  Stamp the bee or stamp of your choice on it using archival black ink.  Cut a piece of white cardstock at 1 1/4 inches by 3 inches and use a corner rounder on one end of it.  Stamp "heartfelt wishes" on it using archival black ink right in the center.  Decorate with two red sparkles.   Use 3-d foam tape to pop up both pieces, the bee about an inch down from top of card to the right side, the "wishes" piece about 1 1/4 inch from bottom of the card on the left side.  Attach the whole thing to a card base you've cut 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches, folded.  If you have enjoyed any of these products, you can purchase them by clicking on the links or going to http://barbraotten.ctmh.com.
